The Macintosh River Rats Program was formed for the purpose of giving the dedicated youth baseball player the opportunity to play with other like minded players from surrounding towns at a highly competitive level. We work closely with the Cal Ripken Youth Baseball programs to avoid scheduling conflicts as our ballplayers are also members of their home town youth baseball programs.  Most of our ballplayers participate in the Macintosh Youth Baseball League.  We recognize the value of Cal Ripken Baseball and encourage our ballplayers to participate in both programs.

We entered our first team into the New England Elite Baseball League (EBL) in the Spring of 2016.  A group of 11U ballplayers from Tyngsboro, Groton, Shirley, and Pepperell were able to come together for the first time and form new friendships. Most of the ballplayers had been competing against each other for years. The River Rats program is honored to bring several baseball communities together to promote excellence in youth baseball.

We are proud to be entering two teams into the (2017) New England Elite Baseball League.  Our 12U Team will play it's second season. Moving up to Division 1A and our 11U team will enter it's first season in Division 2 under the coaching of Scott Littlefield.

ALL of our COACHES are VOLUNTEERS.  We labor for the love of the game of baseball and the joy of helping young athletes develop character as individuals as they compete together as one team.
